Dr. Corey M. Notis has over 15 years experience with Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Laser Vision Correction. He graduated from Brandeis University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his post-doctoral Ophthalmology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and fellowship training at the New York Hospital.

Dr. Notis is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the New York Hospital, and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Notis is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Research to Prevent Blindness. Dr. Notis has published extensively in both national and international Ophthalmology journals, and has been an invited speaker at the American Academy of Ophthalmology annual meeting.

Dr. Notis has performed thousands of Cataract and Laser Refractive procedures, helping patients improve their vision and quality of life.
 
 


Dr. Sorkin is a graduate of the State University of New York College of Optometry. He completed an externship in ocular disease at OMNI Eye Services in Atlanta, Georgia and a primary care optometry externship at Walson Air Force Hospital in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

He has been associated with a multidisciplinary Ophthalmology group and also a practice limited to contact lenses. He has participated in many contact lens related studies.

Dr. Sorkin is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. He has served as the Continuing Education Chair and Vice President of the Essex County Optometric Society and currently serves as the President of the Essex County Optometric Society.

 

 
     
 JONATHAN FREILICH MD


Jonathan Freilich MD joined Associates in Eye Care in August of 2006. Dr. Freilich graduated from Columbia College and received his Doctor of Medicine from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine.

Dr. Freilich completed an internship in internal medicine at Dartmouth Medical School and did his residency in ophthalmology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City.

Dr. Freilich completed a prestigious fellowship in vitrioretinal surgery at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Freilich is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and is a clinical instructor of ophthalmology at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Freilich has published many articles and studies on Retinal Diseases and is a member of the American Academy of Retinal Specialists

 YELENA MARYAMS OD    
 
Dr. Yelena Maryams is a graduate of The SUNY College of Optometry where she was a member of the Deans List.

Dr. Maryams completed an internship at SUNY Optometry in Pediatrics,Vision Therapy, Ocular Disease and Low Vision. She also completed externships at The Northport and Syracuse Veteran Affairs Medical Centers.

In 2000 and 2001, Dr. Maryams provided eye exams to the participants of the Special Olympics was a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician for the Endwell Ambulance Squad.
